Updates and channels
How updates download and how to switch between Release and Test.
The launcher checks for updates when it starts and installs them automatically. It downloads only the parts of the game that changed, so most updates are small.
Channels: Release is the stable build. Test has new builds first and is open to playtesters and to members on the Researcher and Expedition Patron tiers. Switch channels in the launcher's settings.
If a build misbehaves, use Verify and repair in the launcher. It checks every file and fixes what is wrong.
